Architecture Tours
Our Architecture Tour leads you through the heart of Washington, DC, delving into design of landmarks and famous buildings. This is a two-hour private tour that will cover topics like the original planning of the city by Pierre Charles L’Enfant, the architectural styles throughout, and even of some of the political history that shaped these buildings. Many of these beautiful buildings have seen disaster and been rebuilt, redesigned, and restored. Often these setbacks would allow for new architects and designers to come in and shake things up a bit. This led to a multitude of styles including Neoclassical, Greek Revival, Beaux Arts, Tudor, Queen Anne, Contemporary and more.
Some of the most popular buildings in the city, such as the Capitol Building and the Smithsonian, do not allow outside guided tours in many areas of interest. If you would like to tour these sections, please let us know so we can arrange to begin or conclude your tour at these sites.

TOUR LENGTH:
There is a minimum of 2 hours, but you can increase the length of any tour to accommodate the interests of your party.
PRICE:
All Washington D.C. tours - $50 / person per hour
Our Driving Tours in D.C. require a third party transportation service. If your group has this pre-arranged, please let us know. We are happy to provide the names of reliable transportation services if this has not been arranged by your group. All payments for transportation are made to the contracted transportation service.
Admissions to ticketed locations such as but not limited to plantations, museums and landmarks, are not included in the tour price.
Guides are paid directly, accepting cash, credit card, or Venmo.
